Useful things to include.
- What is happening, and when did it start?
- Error messages, the time it started, and anything that changed just before it — an update, a new device, a power outage — usually cut the diagnosis time in half.
- How many people are affected?
- One computer, one department, or everyone. That single detail decides whether this is a device problem, a network problem, or a Microsoft 365 problem.
- How urgent is it?
- If work has stopped, call rather than write. Remote support is often available the same day.
- What do you already have?
- Rough count of computers, whether you use Microsoft 365, and who provides your internet. Enough to give you a realistic estimate.
